City Closures in response to COVID-19
COVID-19 has changed the landscape for all Minnesotans, and we as a city have been carefully considering what is best for our community and our staff and their families at this time.
Out of an abundance of caution and care for our staff and community, and in alignment with the recommendations of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the City has closed many facilities to the public and cancelled programs and events.
Several community-wide events are held within the City of Inver Grove Heights to connect our community members to one another, keep our community engaged, and provide all community members a variety of activities and special outings to attend.
If you do not find an event you are looking for, make sure to check our other special events pages under specific city departments (like Parks & Recreation or our Community Center’s Fitness Center).
Weather Impacts to city-led programs and events
IGHs Weather Hot Line (651-450-2595) is the only place to check the status for city-led program and events due to inclement weather. We strive to update by 4:30 p.m. After hours, it is up to the coaches and instructors to make the final decision.
All events and programs which are city-led are cancelled until further notice.
