COVID-19 is beginning to impact all of us. This week, our Mayor declared a State of Emergency locally. Out of an abundance of caution and a commitment to protect the health of our officers, staff and community, we closed City Hall, our Police Department and our Fire Department to the public for 30 days, through Friday, April 17.
Since this emergency closure was declared, however, we have received questions from residents regarding the processing and approval of Minnesota Uniform Firearm Application Permits to Purchase. In order to comply with state law and meet the needs of our residents, our PD is adjusting its closure plans.
